Test of Kazakh as a Second Language ( IGCSE )
The following language skills are tested in the Test of Kazakh as a Second Language:

· Writing
· Listening
· Speaking
Sometimes all four skills can be tested separately, but mostly two or more skills can be tested as a combined skill, e.g. read and write or listen and write.
Reading - Being able to read a variety of pieces of texts, from short to quite long, and being able to understand the overall meaning of the text, as well as detailed parts.
Writing - Being able to write short responses (answers to questions) as well as longer pieces of writing (paragraphs, letters, essays, articles). Also, being able to write notes.
Listening - Being able to listen to variety of contexts and scenarios (situations in which two or more people talking together). Recognising different ways that speakers talk (tone)
