Haileybury Almaty

On Friday January 27th Haileybury Almaty wlecomed founding Headmaster Andrew Auster for a day. He currently heads Haileybury Astana.

Mr. Auster received a warm welcome by pupils and staff. We were all delighted to see him back and look forward to working together with Haileybury Astana in the near future.

Year 7 pupils will visit Haileybury Astana in March for a joint music performance and sports fixtures will come up soon.

In December Haileybury Almaty were visited by more than 30 children from the Almaty orphanage Zhanuya. A full report of the visit can be found on the website of one of the charities Haileybury Almaty supports - DARA. They are a charity that serves the unprivileged children.

It was a pleasure to have the celebrity violinist Marat Bisangaliev visit Haileybury Almaty on Wednesday. Both pupils and staff utterly enjoyed his performances at a special assembly.

He played items by Elgar and Kreisler. He is the first violinist to record all Elgar's work for violin on a triple CD album.
