2016 was the 1st year of the new key stage 2 tests in Maths, Reading and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. The tests assess children against a national standard. This year’s tests are the 1st tests to reflect the new primary curriculum, which was introduced in 2014. KS2 SATS are reported using scaled scores. The scores range from 80 – 120. Pupils achieving a scaled score of 100 or above have achieved the national average.
Our primary SATs results from June have again shown the strength of our primary department and how that continues to go from strength to strength. Pupils were externally tested in Maths, Reading, and Spelling and Grammar. The huge majority achieved the UK national average in Maths and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. These new papers were particularly challenging as reflected by the UK results in the comparison above. We are therefore delighted with our pupils and the progress that they have made at Haileybury Almaty.
